Disposable Face Mask- A Necessity in Current Time
As the U.S. continues to experience surges in coronavirus cases, many states are responding by enforcing state-wide mask mandates. More than half the country now requires all residents — including kids — to wear a mask in public spaces where social distancing is not possible, including while exercising outdoors. Since April, the CDC has recommended people wear face coverings in public — including homemade cloth face masks. The CDC has advised wearing a cloth face covering for those out in public spaces, like grocery stores and pharmacies, where it could be hard to properly socially distance. Stores such as Walmart, CVS and Whole Foods also now require customers to wear masks at locations nationwide, as we mentioned above, and many municipalities and state governments are also mandating the use of face masks. But legal requirements aren’t the only reason to don a face mask While the CDC recommends wearing a face mask. Quality in use, disposable face masks, or also known as surgical masks are a common feature in healthcare environments. Designed to keep the medical professionals safe from disease-causing elements, these masks have become hugely popular during the Corona pandemic world, not just becoming a must-have for healthcare professionals but also becoming routine care equipment of individual users as well. Surgical Masks (Face Masks) – Per CDC Guidelines: A surgical mask is a loose-fitting, disposable face mask device that creates a physical barrier between the mouth and nose of the wearer and potential contaminants in the immediate environment. Surgical masks are regulated under 21 CFR 878.4040. Surgical face masks are not to be shared and may be labeled as surgical, isolation, dental, or medical procedure masks. They may come with or without a face shield. These are often referred to as disposable face masks, although not all face masks are regulated as surgical masks. Buy here a box of 50 mask
Surgical masks are made in different thicknesses and with different ability to protect you from contact with liquids. These properties may also affect how easily you can breathe through the face mask and how well the surgical mask protects you.
If worn properly, a surgical face mask is meant to help block large-particle droplets, splashes, sprays, or splatter that may contain germs (viruses and bacteria), keeping it from reaching your mouth and nose. Surgical face masks may also help reduce exposure of your saliva and respiratory secretions to others.
While a surgical face mask may be effective in blocking splashes and large-particle droplets, a face mask, by design, does not filter or block very small particles in the air that may be transmitted by coughs, sneezes, or certain medical procedures. Surgical masks also do not provide complete protection from germs and other contaminants because of the loose fit between the surface of the face mask and your face.
Surgical face masks are not intended to be used more than once. If your face mask is damaged or soiled, or if breathing through the mask becomes difficult, you should remove the face mask, discard it safely, and replace it with a new one. To safely discard your face mask, place it in a plastic bag and put it in the trash. Wash your hands after handling the used mask. Buy here a box of 50 mask
Why Do You Need Face Mask
Face masks are one way to protect yourself and others from the spread of coronavirus, but they’re only effective when worn properly. So when you put one on, make sure it covers the most vulnerable spots on your face: the nose and mouth. The positioning on the nose might vary depending on the shape of your nose, so the position should be the spot where there is the best seal around your nose and mouth. Featuring three filtering layers for maximum protection and safety, these 3 ply masks provide defense against dust, allergens and pollen. Made from soft non-woven filter cloth that helps in easy breathing, these masks are healthy and safe to use both domestically and professionally. Specially crafted from melt-blown material that acts as a filter and stops smaller particles from entering the mask, it is comparatively safer and easier to breathe while wearing these disposable masks as compared to other masks available in the market.
Disposable face-masks are worn over the nose and mouth to filter the air that we breathe and therefore help protect us against inhalation of hazardous airborne particles and dangerous fumes. They are worn by medical professionals, painters, builders and mining professionals, among others. There are multiple types available including standard 3 ply surgical face masks, US standard N95 masks. N95 respirators and surgical masks (face masks) are examples of personal protective equipment that are used to protect the wearer from airborne particles and from liquid contaminating the face. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) also regulate N95 respirators mask.
It is important to recognize that the optimal way to prevent airborne transmission is to use a combination of interventions from across the hierarchy of controls, not just PPE alone.
Medical face masks like the 3M™ N95 Respirator are carefully designed and manufactured to ensure that they provide optimal protection and help to prevent the spread of disease. How effective your face mask is will depend on the material that it constructed from. Some medical face shields are designed to reduce the spread of germs from the wearer only. They do not filter out harmful particulates but instead trap infected air from spreading past the material of the mask. The N95 face mask both traps germs within the mask and filters out germs in the air that the wearer is breathing. It is also capable of filtering out dust, smoke and other air pollutants.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) in the United States recommends the use of disposable face masks while outside in public spaces.
The mask does not prevent the contaminant from the atmosphere to the wearer of the mask but it can reduce the chance. Buy here a box of 50 mask
How to Wear Face Mask
- Open the mask
- White side goes inside, Blue side stays outside and nose strip at the top.
- Place the elastic loops on the ears
- Adjust the mask size, will be carried out under the mask, completely cover the nose and mouth
- Use both hands to regulate the binding bridge of the nose bridge of the nose on both sides of the face mask
Wearing a mask takes some getting used to, but it should never restrict your ability to breathe. Small gaps are normal and unavoidable, but the fewer there are and the smaller they are, the better. That’s because your face mask should form a protective shield around your face. Disposable face masks are highly effective when they are worn correctly and for the right amount of time. Most disposable mask comes with a nose pin which can be adjusted and ear loops to go around the ears. The disposable mask area supposed to worn around the ears with the elastic ear loops and the nose pin can be compressed against the nose to form a tight fighting to minimize the direct exposure to the contaminant from the atmosphere. A surgical face mask is typically worn by surgeons or other healthcare workers and is tied around the back of the head or secured using earloops. This mask completely covers the face the nose and acts as a barrier between the wearer and the air they are breathing into. It is designed to stop the wearer from spreading germs.
These protective disposable masks are made through ultra-sonic technology to ensure protection without compromising on your comfort and convenience. With soft and comfortable elastic ear hooks and a flexible nose bar to effortlessly adjust any face shape and size, these masks will firmly stick to your face as you work or perform your usual chores indoors or outdoors.
The more effective N95 respirator mask offers both protection against spreading germs the wearer has as well as protection for the wearer from inhaling airborne pathogens and other particulates. It must be worn entirely over the nose and mouth and be tight fitting. There must be a complete seal between the edge of the mask and the skin it is in contact with to ensure that remains effective during wear. If there is not a complete seal, then airborne particles may pass around the edges of the mask and no filtration of the air that you are breathing will occur. If you have facial hair, then it is unlikely that the necessary seal between your face and the mask will be achieved effectively.
This mask holds and covers your face by joining from four sides, it provides maximum protection by avoiding unfiltered air and other harmful particles from entering the face mask. Wearing protective face masks significantly reduce the risk and help in flattening out the curve. Surgical masks are looser fitting face masks used primarily to capture droplets and fluid expelled by the wearer and not for filtration of the air the wearer is breathing. It is not necessary for surgical face masks to be so tight fitting not form a complete seal around the nose and mouth. Buy here a box of 50 mask
These disposable face masks should NOT be considered a reliable protection against COVID-19, but can be utilized in an emergency to reduce the amount of airborne droplets expelled by a patient. For more CDC Guidelines see: CDC Guidelines for Masks & Resiprators
